According to the National Institute of Mental Health in the USA, the fear of public speaking is one of the most common fears in the world, affecting up to 75% of people. The same goes for Europe. In a survey of 7.000 Europeans, conducted by the European Public Speaking Championship, 54% of respondents reported feeling nervous when speaking in public, while 11% reported feeling terrified.
